1) Pin right sides together.

As I was lacking fabric, I did a smaller 3/8" seam allowance.
So we are starting with the easiest sewing first!!
  1. If your sash is in two pieces, with right sides together at the short end that will be the middle, pin and then sew these pieces together. Press seam open.
  2. Fold your sash with right sides together lengthwise and pin.
  3. Sew the edges (horizontal and vertical) but leave a decent gap in the middle where you will turn it right way out. Press.

3) Sew the edges, but remember to leave a gap for turning it.

4) Trim the seam allowance and cut the corners.
4. Trim the seam allowance down to about 1/4" and cut the corners off so it will turn nicely.
5. Turn it so the sash is right side out and press.
6. Fold the seam allowance in  at the middle and press so you can hand slip stitch the gap you used to turn it.
7. Sash done! (We'll trim it later)

5) Turn right side out and press and 6) fold the seam allowance at the gap in.

6) Slip stitch by hand to close the gap.
